As usual, the Jawas chose a theme for the DragonCon parade, and this year it was "The Love Boat"! For those of you under 40, The Love Boat was a wildly popular series that ran on ABC in the 70s and 80s, famous mostly as a landing pad for aging Hollywood stars, and of course for a theme song that those of a certain age will never get out of their heads after the Sandcrawler played it at high volume throughout the parade. The Sandcrawler was rechristened the "Dune Sea Princess" and had Jawas in all her portholes! The Jawa deployment also featured a pirate ship with a Jawa mermaid (rare on a desert planet, we know), a cannon, a Jawa-style pirate flag, a Jawa lounge singer, and of course Jawas ready for a day at the beach with boogie boards and boat drinks!
