A Jawa Dance Clan? Whaa?
Yes, the Great Jawa Horde has a Dance Clan! Like many things (including the Horde itself) the Dance Clan started out as a not-very-serious suggestion that got taken seriously. The Clan has made a number of appearances, but mostly they perform 1) during some parades (DragonCon and the Atlanta Christmas Parade) when they march with the SandCrawler, and 2) at DragonCon during intermission at the Star Wars Costume Contest!
The Dance Clan takes some small liberties with traditional Jawa regalia: their robes are shortened somewhat, and fringed to show off their dance moves, they may sport glittery bandoliers, carry dance blasters and they're usually seen in brown Converse High Tops! At Christmas time, you're more likely to see them in red robes and dancing with large candy canes! As they like to say, what they lack in talent they make for in enthusiasm!
